Large amounts of car accidents happen every week, but they can be easily prevented. Often people don’t use their car’s turn signal because they are lazy, or just don’t see why it’s so important to use it. The truth is that using your turn signal is a huge way to protect yourself, your car, and your passengers.
It has been shown that nearly half of all drivers neglect to use their turn signal, and many do so because they are simply lazy or don’t see the use in it (here). This is a very detrimental idealism to society because many accidents are caused by lane changes with no warning, and many injuries and hassling situations could be avoided if people simply used their turn signal more.
